My Approach to Therapy:
My approach is respectful, firm but fair. Therapy with me is a safe, non-judgmental space where you can increase your skill set, address current/past experiences, and work together as a team to do so.
-
Learning healthy, unhealthy, and toxic boundaries
-
Self-reflection when faced with difficult situations
-
Applying effective skills learned in treatment
I utilize person centered therapy in conjunction of cognitive behavioral therapy in sessions. This means although the session can be led by you we work together to see how our thoughts and behaviors could be causing negative impacts to your lifestyle. We will seek different ways to increase your functioning in the community and overall lifestyle changes
